Built on Family, Trust, and Community
In 1946, J.C. (Joy) Graham, a respected farmer in the Ashley/Delaware, Ohio community, found himself looking for a way to support his family during the winter months. With a heart as big as his farmland, Joy began selling insurance, knowing his neighbors needed the security and protection that only a good policy could offer. That winter, he partnered with Grange Insurance, forging a bond that has withstood the test of time. Joy’s work wasn’t just about policies — it was about people. His dedication, rooted in a farmer’s integrity, laid the cornerstone for what would become Trimble Insurance Agency.
Even though Joy returned to farming, the impact he made during those months stayed with his family, especially his daughter Twila. She saw firsthand the difference her father made in their neighbors’ lives, and it inspired her deeply. In 1961, Twila, alongside her high-school sweetheart, Howard Trimble, joined her father in his mission. Together, they created the Graham-Trimble Insurance Agency, continuing the legacy of trust and service that Joy started. By 1975, they moved the agency from Ashley to Delaware, Ohio, where it still stands as a pillar of the community.
Trimble Insurance has always been about family, and that legacy continued when Greg Trimble, Twila and Howard’s son, joined the agency in 1981. Greg brought fresh energy and new ideas, guiding the business to new heights. Greg laid the foundation for generational success by continuing to focus on client relationships while keeping the agent on the forefront of industry technology.
In 2014, the fourth generation took its place when Greg’s son, Kirt, came on board as a Risk Management Advisor. With a wealth of experience from the insurance industry, Kirt embraced the opportunity to carry forward the family tradition.
Now serving as president, Kirt feels a deep connection to his great-grandfather’s legacy every time he steps into the office. The values of hard work, integrity, and commitment to the community are as alive today as they were when Joy first started.
“We are still that small-town agency committed to helping our neighbors,” Kirt reflects. “But we’re also thinking ahead, finding innovative ways to protect our clients so they can focus on what matters most— living their lives, growing their businesses and strengthening our communities.”

Growing up in the industry — his parents ran an insurance agency from their home — Greg developed a lifelong passion for serving others and building lasting relationships.
Outside of work, Greg cherishes time with his two grandchildren and enjoys hobbies such as golfing, hunting, and traveling. He’s also deeply committed to giving back, serving on the board of The Ronald McDonald House in Central Ohio.
